Maryann Sarris Brousseau was born in Galveston, Texas, on December 26, 1959, and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1984. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Ms. Brousseau earned the degrees of B.B.A. (cum laude, 1981), J.D. (1984), and LL.M. in Taxation (1985) from Southern Methodist University. She has served as a member of the State Bar of Texas District 6A Grievance Committee and as a fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation.

Ms. Brousseau has participated in Leadership Dallas (1992-1993) and Leadership Dallas Alumnae Association. She has served on the boards of Open Arms, Inc./Bryan’s House, Parkland Hospital Foundation, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, TACA, and The Hockaday School. Her professional memberships include the Dallas and American Bar Associations, the State Bar of Texas, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Commercial Law League of America, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
